Jinan, China — KASON introduces the BM-BJ500 Portable Metallurgical Microscope, a compact solution designed for on-site metallographic analysis and failure analysis of large metal workpieces.
Unlike conventional laboratory microscopes that require cutting and sampling, the BM-BJ500 allows large components to be polished and examined directly on site, helping maintain the integrity of the workpiece. The system is suitable for applications in aviation manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing, vehicle manufacturing, boiler and pressure vessel inspection, petrochemical, railway, shipbuilding and power industries.
The microscope features 10X, 20X and 50X long-working-distance plan achromatic objectives, LED illumination, coarse and fine focusing, and a magnetic XY support suitable for different workpiece surfaces. Optional camera and metallographic analysis software enable image acquisition, microstructure analysis and inspection report generation.
For on-site sample preparation, the system can be equipped with grinding and polishing accessories. The sample preparation procedure is carried out according to GB/T 13298-2015.
