Jinan, China — KASON introduces the CSL-A Manual Impact Specimen Notch Broaching Machine, a practical solution for preparing V-shaped and U-shaped notches on metal Charpy impact specimens.
Designed for one-time broaching, the CSL-A helps achieve consistent notch machining quality for impact testing. Its W18Cr4V broach provides high rigidity and wear resistance, with each broach capable of more than 20,000 uses according to the product specification.
The machine is designed for 10×10×55 mm specimens and provides a 350 mm broach moving distance. Both V-shape (2 mm) and U-shape (2 mm) notch configurations are available.
The CSL-A complies with GB 2106-80 for Metal Charpy V-notch Impact Test and GB 229-94 for Metal Charpy U-notch Impact Test. The product documentation also states that it can meet ASTM E23-02a, EN10045, ISO 148 and ISO 083 requirements.
The CSL-A is suitable for laboratories and quality-control applications requiring reliable preparation of metal impact specimens before Charpy impact testing.
