What is the PIT302CW-60?
A computer-controlled, low-temperature automatic Charpy impact testing machine for measuring the impact resistance of metals and other materials, with 300 J maximum impact energy and a 10–90% FS effective range.
Which standards does it cover?
ISO 148-1, ASTM E23, EN 10045-1, JIS Z 2242, GOST 9454-78 and ISO R83, with 2 mm and 8 mm striking edges.
How cold does it go?
A compressor cryogenic system holds +30 to −60 °C with ±0.5 °C accuracy, cooling to −60 °C in under 60 minutes. Specimens are transferred and positioned pneumatically in 5 seconds or less, to 0.1 mm.
How accurate is the measurement?
A photoelectric encoder gives 0.025° angle resolution and 0.01 J energy resolution on screen (0.5 J on the dial). Impact speed is 5.24 m/s at a 150° striking angle, with 40 mm support span.
What else is included?
One-body cast frame, exchangeable 150/300/450/600/750 J pendulums, interlocked full enclosure, motorised specimen collection and PC software for curves and reports.
