1. Product Introduction

The disc liquid limit meter is used to measure the liquid limit of soil to classify soil. It consists of a soil disc, a bracket and a base. When in use, the sample mixed into a thick paste needs to be placed in the disc, the surface needs to be scraped flat, and a groove is made in the soil with a groove cutter. Then the soil disc is raised and the disc is dropped several times. When the soil groove is closed to an appropriate degree, the water content of the sample is measured. It is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T21997.1-2008 standard, and meets the method standards of SL 237-1999 "Geotechnical Test Regulations", JTG3430-2020 "Highway Geotechnical Test Regulations", TB10102-2010 "Railway Engineering Geotechnical Test Regulations", GB/T50123-2019 "Geotechnical Test Method Standard", ASTM D4318 "Standard Test Method for Liquid Limit of Soil". The consistency limits (LL and PL) are very important for understanding the stress history and general characteristics of construction soil. The estimation of plasticity index (LL-PL) is very important for classifying soils, especially in highly expansive clays.
