Application
The apparatus is a kind of strain controlled direct shear apparatus used to test the shearing resistance of soil
specimen. It usually adopts four specimens under the different vertical pressure to add shearing force to carry on shear test to obtain the shearing force when the specimen is destroyed. Determine the shearing resistance
coefficient, internal fictional angle and cohesion of the soil according to Coulomb’s law.
It has the advantages such as easy to operate, stable shear rate. There’s also limit device to protect the
apparatus.
