Product Function:

The Rigid Sheet Falling Ball Impact Tester is designed to evaluate the damage sustained by plastic sheets—specifically those with a thickness of less than 2mm—when subjected to the impact of a steel ball dropped from a specified height. It is widely utilized by quality inspection agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and packaging manufacturers.


Testing Principle:

A test specimen of a specific size is prepared and secured within the specimen holder. A suitable steel ball is selected and positioned within the electromagnetic release mechanism. The steel ball is then released to fall freely onto the central area of the specimen. The specimen is subsequently inspected to determine the extent of any damage; after conducting multiple trials, the breakage rate is calculated.

Extended Application: Tamper-Evident Bottle Caps — Used to perform falling ball impact tests on tamper-evident bottle caps.
