This sample preparation machine uses a single-edged blade with a thickness of 0.23 ± 0.03 mm and a cutting angle of 14° ± 2° to notch the specimen on both sides, creating standard notched specimens. It is suitable for preparing double-notched specimens of high-molecular-weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) molding materials and thermoplastic pipes. It facilitates the determination of double-notched impact strength using Charpy beams. It can also be used for notching FNCT and PENT specimens, making it an essential instrument for preparing double-notched specimens in various testing institutions and polymer research centers.
